Central and Northern Vancouver Island

Innovation Island Technology Association serves science and technology innovators and entrepreneurs on Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast. Its area covers all of Vancouver Island except for Victoria, and Powell River, Gibsons, and Sechelt on the Lower Mainland.

Central Interior

ISIC has a mandate to stimulate the economy of the region through encouraging innovation, science and technology. In this role, ISIC has developed a unique regional understanding of the people, communities and businesses, has extensive contacts, and is well experienced in providing leadership in projects that are often geographically far-reaching and complex in nature. We will continue to assist communities in achieving their vision of economic revitalization.

East Kootenays

Dedicated to fostering a culture of innovation as well as the development of science and technology in the East Kootenay, the Kootenay Rockies Innovation Council (KRIC) is a non profit society that provides programming and events targeted at businesses, communities and students/educators related to science, technology and innovation.

Greater Victoria

The Victoria Advanced Technology Council (VIATeC) is the conduit that connects people, knowledge and resources to grow a successful technology sector in Greater Victoria.  VIATeC is intended to be the first place that people contact for information or assistance related to advanced technology in Greater Victoria.

NSIS is an independent, non-profit society dedicated to the economic development and diversification of the Northwest BC Region through the application and/or use of science and technology. Our members live and work throughout the Northwest British Columbia region and represent a broad range of interests in local industry, business, education and government.

Okanagan

On December 31, 2010 the Okanagan Research and Innovation Centre (ORIC) and the Okanagan Science and Technology Council (OSTEC) amalgamated to form Accelerate Okanagan.

ORIC was founded by Peter Haubrich in 2005 and focused on helping entrepreneurs to start and grow technology companies in the Okanagan. With centers in White Lake, Kelowna and then Penticton, ORIC played a role in the creation of over 20 companies and 60 plus new high tech jobs. ORIC offered programs covering pre and full incubation, combining mentorship, coaching and structured learning.

Peace Liard-Stikine

Sci-Tech North is an independent non-profit society located in Fort St. John, British Columbia. Serving the Peace-Liard-Stikine regions, Sci-Tech North offers support for individuals and organizations that are interested in researching or applying innovative science and technology. We act as an education and information service, a referral agency, and a venue for research aimed at identifying science and technology opportunities. Sci-Tech North is committed to environmental and community responsibility and encourages the adoption and adaptation of relevant technology.

West Kootenays & Boundary

The Kootenay Association for Science and Technology (KAST) is a registered non-profit society whose members live and work throughout the West Kootenay-Boundary region and represent a broad range of interests in local industry, business, education and government. KAST works to foster a culture that values science, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship as activities vital to maintaining and enhancing the competitiveness of the region.
